NINE TEENS All Under 18 Arrested – 5 Face Felony Assault with Deadly Weapon for Kicking Victims in Head – After Brutal Beating of US Marines in San Clemente

Nine teenagers, all under 18-years-old, were arrested on Tuesday following a brutal beating by a pack of 30 teens on three US Marines on Friday night of Memorial Day Weekend.

The assault took place in San Clemente on Monday night.

Five of the teens face assault with a deadly weapon charges after they kicked the Marines in the head hoping to cause permanent damage.

Five of the teens were arrested when the OCSD police put out a statement today.

Via FOX News and Midnight Rider.

Here is our earlier report on the brutal assault.

Three local Marines are currently in recovery after a terrifying assault by a large group of teenagers near the San Clemente Pier on Friday night.

According to one of the self-identified Marines, Hunter Antonino, he and his two friends were relaxing on their day off and were walking along the San Clemente Pier when a group of about 30 to 40 teenagers showed up.

The teenagers were reportedly setting off fireworks, and when the debris struck him in the face, he politely asked them to stop.

“They were lighting off fireworks. They were being belligerent. They were being obnoxious and annoying other people,” said Antonino to KCAL News.

After he told them to stop, and that’s when the large group of teenagers followed them over to the pier and things turned violent.

As a result of the brutal attack, the Marine lance corporal suspects he may have suffered a concussion from the beatings and stomping.

“My face still has, like, blood all over it. It wasn’t cool at all,” he said to local news.

“We told them that we were Marines so they would leave, but they just kept going at it,” he added.

WATCH:

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) is actively working to apprehend the culprits responsible for this heinous act.
“This is considered an assault with a deadly weapon because of the amount of suspects we are investigating,” said Orange County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Frank Gonzalez. “The weapons that were used were their feet while these victims were on the ground. So, regardless if the victims choose prosecution or choose medical attention the sheriff’s department is going to investigate this to the fullest and try to determine who the suspects are.”

The Importance of Uniform as Ukraine Contemplates an Offensive

I suppose it should not surprise anyone that the failure to understand the challenges Ukraine faces in trying to launch a counter-offensive is a consequence of the fact that most Western politicians and media have zero experience serving in a military organization. That lack of experience means there is little understanding of the importance of training and the logistics chain that must be in place to support that training. One of the biggest problems confronting Ukraine, in my view, is the complete lack of uniformity.

The strength of any army is the principle of uniformity. Here is a Captain Obvious moment — the reason that a military organization sports a uniform is to ensure that troops in the heat of battle can easily identify their fellow fighters. Can you imagine an army that would grant each soldier or sailor or Marine the option to choose their own wardrobe? While you might get some fabulous fashion choices, allowing such diversity would undermine the operational effectiveness of that organization in combat.

The concept of uniform in the military extends beyond what men and women wear. How about training? An effective military organization relies on standard operating procedures in order to ensure that even the least mentally competent member of a unit knows the policies, procedures and tactics he or she must perform under stress. One of the critical objectives in basic training is to teach new recruits how to communicate and how to act on orders. If a military organization incorporates different units with different methods of communicating the odds of confusion on the battlefield increase dramatically.

So look at Ukraine’s problem. Ukrainian soldiers are not being instructed at Ukrainian bases on Ukrainian soil by Ukrainian officers. Nope. Ukrainian troops are being trained in the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, France, and Italy. Would you be surprised to learn that each of those countries employ different methods for teaching everything from marksmanship, marching, unit maneuvers, and personal hygiene? I am not suggesting that the respective NATO countries are doing a poor job of training the Ukrainian units under their care. However, once those Ukrainian troops return home and are deployed to the front lines it is highly likely that a unit trained in the United Kingdom will operate differently from a unit trained in France. In other words, lack of uniformity. That creates a command and control challenge.

Lack of uniformity also is a problem because of the variety of weapons issued to Ukrainian troops. Anti-tank weapons illustrate the dilemma. The photos below show a British NLAW and a U.S. Javelin missile. Both are designed to kill a tank, but the procedures a soldier must follow to fire an NLAW differs from a Javelin. The Javelin, for example, is equipped with an optic, the NLAW is not. I am not saying that a soldier cannot be trained to use both. Of course, they can. But the reality is that these anti-tank weapons are being delivered to Ukrainian troops who have not had the opportunity to go through a training regimen to make them proficient in either or both.

We see the same discord when it comes to the tanks, vehicles, and planes that have been or will be supplied to Ukraine. This diversity adds another level of complexity because of the various maintenance requirements for these systems. It means you need an ample supply of spare parts and, most importantly, trained technicians who know how to do the mechanical work maintain or repair the vehicle or aircraft.

We know from the classified documents ostensibly leaked by Jack Teixeira that the Ukrainian brigades slated to spearhead the counter-offensive are not being trained and organized in the same fashion. Ukraine is training three Brigades and the U.S. and NATO partners are training (or have trained) nine brigades. And there is no guarantee that a Brigade trained in the U.K. will operate to the same level of competence as a Brigade trained in Germany or France.

It does not matter how brave or committed the Ukrainian troops are who will carry out the attack on Russian positions if the offensive is launched. If it comes, they will start with a deficit because they have been trained in different ways. More troubling is that the 12 brigades have not conducted a joint exercise where they have learned to carry out coordinated operations with the other units. Their task is made even more difficult because the attacking force will not have the close air support from combat jet and rotary wing aircraft. The Ukrainian units also are unlikely to have mobile air defense systems to fend off Russian aerial counterattacks. Ditto for mobile artillery.

The only hope for the Ukrainian troops tasked with this mission is that NATO intelligence has identified a weak point in the Russian defenses that can be exploited by the attacking force. If such a location exists, it is probably in an area with no significant population or urban centers. That means Ukraine will be capturing fields and forests and that will accomplish nothing that changes the tactical or strategic face of the war.

The German Wehrmacht, a much more powerful and well-trained force than anything Ukraine can put on the battlefield, learned to their chagrin that lack of logistics and combat air support during the last days of Operation Barbarossa (which was launched in the summer of 1941) deprived them of victory. While the Nazis succeeded in driving to the suburbs of Moscow, they literally ran out of the fuel, supplies, and reinforcements needed to maintain the momentum of their offensive.

Instead of executing a viable military strategy, Ukraine’s military is being asked to perform a political charade to satisfy Western expectations. Whatever success Ukraine achieves in the initial phase of its counter-offensive, it lacks the depth in terms of reserves and materiel to sustain an attack. This is not a desperate gamble. This is forced suicide.

Chicago’s “Queer Fam Pride Jam” Pride event will feature “drag dress-up and makeovers” for children.

The event will take place June 17 at the Salt Shed Fairgrounds from 10 am to 4 pm and is sponsored by Lululemon.

According to a report from Block Club Chicago, “This free event, co-sponsored by Block Club, is a collaboration between the queer party producers of Slo ‘Mo and the owners of Kido, an award-winning kids boutique in the South Loop.”

The event will also feature vendors, prioritizing those who are “LGBTQ and Black, Indigenous and people of color.”

“The festival’s programs include wellness activities facilitated by LGBTQ artists and healers, including family yoga and fan decorating, Kaza said. Day-long activities include fan decorating, drag dress-up and makeovers,” the report continues. “Natty Bwoy Bikes & Boards, a local skateboarding school, will facilitate a skating area, and legendary house music choreographer Boogie McClarin will teach dance lessons, Kaza said.”

Ukraine’s Promised Spring Offensive Ain’t D-Day

I invite you to do a thought experiment. Would the Ally invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944 have succeeded if Eisenhower, Churchill and Roosevelt had announced they planned to attack the French coast in June? How effective would the Allied force have been if the Germans launched devastating air and missile attacks on the troop assembly points in South East England? You don’t have to be Carl von Clausewitz or Sun Tzu to come up with the answer. The Normandy invasion would have failed.

So why are Western pundits pinning their hopes on a dramatic Ukrainian success in its highly publicized upcoming offensive when everyday there is news from Ukraine of massive Russian air strikes with missiles and drones on Ukrainian military bases, assembly points and warehouses for vehicles and weapons? Tonight’s Telegram is like the movie Ground Hog day with a new string of reports about Russian strikes across the breadth of Ukraine:

Explosions in Kirovograd region, alarm in central Ukraine

There are explosions in Kiev. According to preliminary information, a swarm of Russian drones strikes critical infrastructure facilities in Kiev and the Kiev region. The air defense is trying to shoot down the wave of attack, unsuccessfully. Local authorities urge everyone to hide in shelters.

The Chernihiv, Cherkasy and Kirovograd regions are also waiting for the arrival of Russian UAVs.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reports explosions in the capital and urges to stay in cover

The Russians are targeting military targets, not civilians, and these attacks are taking a toll on Ukrainian troops and materiel. The mounting casualties in Ukraine also include a growing list of Americans. The guys who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan are learning the hard way that Russia is not a bunch of goat herders sporting 50 year old Kalashnikov rifles. The Washington Post produced an article for Memorial Day recounting the deaths of five Americans in Ukraine (sorry, it is behind a paywall).

Earlier this month, a plane carrying the remains of Marine Corps veteran Grady Kurpasi arrived on U.S. soil, bringing a measure of closure after 13 months of work to bring him home.

In Mobile, Ala., the mother of Cooper Andrews, a retired Marine Corps sergeant killed around Bakhmut on April 19, is fighting to have her son’s remains brought back to the United States.

Memorial Day hits “much harder this year, for obvious reasons,” said Alex Potter, whose husband, Pete Reed, was working as a humanitarian medic in Ukraine when, on Feb. 2, his ambulance was hit by a suspected Russian missile.

Nick Maimer, 45, who had served two decades in the Army, taught English in Spain before Russia’s invasion, he told the Idaho Statesman last year. His “moral compass” guided him to Ukraine, he said. . . .

His death, apparentlyin a building collapse somewhere near the besieged city of Bakhmut earlier this month, was disclosed in a poorly lit video showing Wagner mercenary group leader Yevgeniy Prigozhin.A close associate of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prigozhin and his private army have assumed a lead role in the war. In the video, he stands near a lifeless body and taunts the United States. In his hands is a notebook holding Maimer’s Idaho driver’s license and Veterans Affairs card.

The two military officers, crisply attired in blue dress uniforms, ascended the front porch of a single-family home. One clutched a vinyl case containing an ornate white urn and, within, the ashes of Army veteran Andrew Peters.

Andrew Peters, like many other American volunteers in Ukraine, had been affected by the televised images of civilian suffering and by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s appeal to military veterans worldwide for help repelling the Russians. . . .

Memorial Day resonates differently this year, he added, with heartache because of his son’s death. But the father knows the situation isn’t quite the same as if Andrew had been killed while in the U.S. military, and he has balked at suggestions from friends that his son’s name should be added to a local memorial that recognizes U.S. troops killed in combat, he said.

I view these men as victims of the U.S. propaganda campaign that portrayed Ukraine as an innocent suddenly attacked, without cause, by the ravaging Russian hordes. That was and is a lie. I give these men the benefit of the doubt that they put their lives on the line to help an underdog without understanding the longstanding NATO effort to weaken and destroy Russia.

If we could go back in time I would have invited these departed souls to watch Andrei Martyanov. Maybe his straight talk could have given them pause:

Search and Rescue Ongoing After Apartment Building Partially Collapses in Davenport, Iowa (VIDEO)

Former Davenport Hotel in Downtown Davenport (Antifascist Iowan/Facebook)

Authorities in Davenport, Iowa, have launched search and rescue operations following the partial collapse of a six-story apartment building on Sunday.

On Sunday, the Davenport Fire Department and Davenport Police Department responded to 324 Main Street for a report of a building collapse at approximately 4:55 pm.

According to the officials, emergency responders detected a large leak of natural gas as well as water coming from every floor of the building.

No immediate information was available on casualties or the number of persons who may be missing or trapped.

“There are people unaccounted for,” Mayor Mike Matson said. “Our focus is rescue right now.”

According to Davenport Fire Chief Michael Carlsten, seven individuals have been rescued from the building thus far, with more than a dozen others self-evacuating and being escorted to safety. The number of people who were injured and received treatment at the scene was not made public by the officials.

Antoine Rabbit Smith has two friends who were in the building at the time of the disaster, and he is anxiously awaiting word on their safety. He says one person missing is like a mother figure to him.

“I’m freaking out, and it hurts so much with just not knowing upon what’s gonna happen, if anything is gonna happen to the building right now. Like, I don’t know. I don’t know,” Smith told Fox 18.

No official word has been made on what caused the collapse.

WATCH:

Live5News reported:

The mayor said rescue operations are continuing and a specialized unit to search the rubble for survivors has been requested but declined to give an exact or estimated number of casualties.

The city said the owner had taken out a permit for repair work to the exterior of the building and that work was underway at the time of the collapse. The city said reports of bricks falling from the building earlier this week were part of that work. The cause of the collapse is not clear at this point.

“The crews will continue to work through the night,” the chief said. “In fact, crews have started to enter the building again to do a secondary search and also start with the rescue of the debris pile we have at the bottom of the building.”

The department is also asking the public to avoid the downtown area.

Police say Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church, located at 417 N. Main St., is serving as a reunification point for the incident.

THE IRONY OF MATT TAIBBI

[FROM LARRY JOHNSON — I am posting this for a friend, David L. He prefers to keep his identity a secret. However, he has something important and useful to share about Matt Taibbi.]

I first became acquainted with Matt Taibbi when he came to Moscow in the late 1990s and was co-editor of a newspaper called The eXile, along with another American, Mark Ames.

The eXile’s motto was “We $#it on everybody equally.”

Ames and Taibbi wrote all manner of expose articles on the corruption of the Boris Eltzin administration, the World Bank, the IMF, and USAID. One of their favorite targets was that pompous moron, Michael McFaul, then a World Bank “consultant” who later became U.S. Ambassador under O’Bongo.  Arguably our worst-ever ambassador, the Russian Foreign Ministry basically ignored him, and then threw USAID and many US backed NGO’s out of the country for good.  But Ames and Taibbi also investigated many, many Russian Government officials and exposed their corrupt dealings. They also regularly published columns by Eduard Limonov, a Russian dissident and head of the banned “National Bolshevik Party.”

As Matt’s co-editor Ames once wrote, “we’d be sued out of existence within a few weeks of appearing in any Western democracy, but here in Russia, in the so-called kleptocracy, the power elite has been too busy stealing and killing to give a f**k about us, allowing us to fly around the capital beneath their radar, like a cruise missile. A real democracy would never let us get off the ground.”

Flash forward 20+ years, and after a stint at The Rolling Stone, suddenly over the past few months, Taibbi became a household name here in the USA, culminating with his being the front guy for the release of all that material proving how various U.S. “intel” agencies conspired with Twitter and other social media platforms to censor the news, manipulate public opinion and possibly to influence the outcome of elections, Oh My!

Here is Matt Taibbi’s congressional testimony.

And look what has happened to “poor” Matt over the last 6 months or so, a real dyed-in-the-wool Liberal Democrat.

In March, the Democrats in Congress skinned him alive at the House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponizationof the Federal Government hearings, and now the IRS is on his case.  His life and reputation is being utterly ruined.

<<The records also show that Mr. Taibbi was able to resolve the tax issue quickly, did not owe the IRS anything and in fact was due a “substantial refund,” Mr. Jordan said Wednesday in a new letter demanding answers from the bureau.>>

See May 24, 2023 letter from Judiciary Committee below

So the irony is – none of anything like this happened to Matt Taibbi in Moscow.  Taibbi was never arrested, detained, poisoned, run off the road by a truck into a bridge abutment, etc.  by those “despots in Russia.”  It all happened/is happening right here in the good ole USA, Land of the Free, Home of the Brave, First Amendment, Freedom of the Press, etc. and is being orchestrated – ironically enough – by Libtard left-wing Democrats!

Meanwhile, what about Gonazalo Lira?  He was arrested by goons from the the Ukro-Nazi SBU (Service for “Security” of Ukraine) three weeks ago in the country to which billions and billions of your tax dollars are being sent “to support Democracy.”

It’s Memorial Day weekend.  Do you think this is what so many fought and died for to be happening in the USA or funded with your tax dollars and mine?

Yes, indeed.  Think about it.

Letter from SFC Republicans to TIGTA (senate.gov)  (May 4, 2023)

Iowa Governor Signs Bills Restricting Sexual Books, Teaching ‘Gender Identity’ and Sexual Orientation in Elementary Schools

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has signed bills that prohibit elementary school teachers from giving lessons on gender identity and sexual orientation.

The newly signed bills also prohibit non-religious books depicting sexual acts from school libraries and requires schools to notify parents if a student requests people use pronouns or names that do not match what is on their birth certificates.

The new law on instruction is similar to Florida’s original Parental Rights in Education Act and only applies to kindergarten through sixth grade.

The bill was opposed by every Democrat in the state legislature, according to a report from The Hill. Their efforts to block the bills were fruitless as Republicans hold strong majorities in both the state House and Senate.

Parent approval will also be required before schools can administer surveys to students on topics including mental health, sex, and political affiliation.

“This legislative session, we secured transformational education reform that puts parents in the driver’s seat, eliminates burdensome regulations on public schools, provides flexibility to raise teacher salaries, and empowers teachers to prepare our kids for their future,” Gov. Reynolds said in a press release about the bills. “Education is the great equalizer and everyone involved – parents, educators, our children – deserves an environment where they can thrive.”

Opponents of the legislation claimed that it is an attack on the LGBTQ community, while Republicans argued that the new laws are common sense and will protect children.

In March, Gov. Reynolds signed bills that ban biological males from competing on girls’ sports teams and prohibited sex change procedures for minors.

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker Deploys Yellow-Vested ‘Peacekeepers’ to Chicago to Handle Memorial Day Weekend Crime

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has sent yellow-vested ‘peacekeepers’ to Chicago to respond to potential crime and violence over Memorial Day weekend.

What could possibly go wrong?

This is what ‘defund the police’ looks like in real life. Someone has to try to keep the peace, and if there are not enough police, the task falls to ordinary citizens, despite the obvious danger.

CBS News reports:

Teams of ‘peacekeepers’ to be deployed around Chicago for Memorial Day weekend

The Governor’s Office is deploying anti-violence workers across Chicago ahead of the holiday weekend, calling them “peacekeepers.”

Gov. JB Pritzker’s program is modeled after two existing groups in the city. CBS 2’s Tara Molina spoke to a peacekeeper with one of those groups who’s been doing this kind of work for years.

While other types of operations in the city are based in neighborhoods, this new unit is going to be mobile and can respond to or work in other areas.

They’re trained to handle what police call “large group incidents,” which the city has already seen ahead of Memorial Day weekend, the unofficial kickoff to summer.

Behind the fencing and security checkpoints surrounding Millennium Park, anyone under age 18 is required to have adult supervision after 6 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays. If there are gatherings of unsupervised minors, that’s an example of one situation the governor’s new unit of about 30 peacekeepers is fully trained to handle and de-escalate.

Here’s a video report:

What happens if these people are attacked, injured, or even killed?

They supposedly went through a training program, but it was certainly not anything as extensive as police training.

Chicago has lost its mind.

Teens Rob High-End Clothing Store in Lower Manhattan, Stealing $10,000 Worth of Merchandise

A group of six teenagers stormed into a high-end clothing store in Lower Manhattan on Wednesday, escaping with over $10,700 worth of merchandise.

The incident, which occurred around 5:10 p.m., left a female employee thrown to the ground as the perpetrators made their hasty exit, according to the police per AMNY.

The incident occurred on Wednesday around 5:10 p.m. at Ava Galerie – an upscale clothing store located at 161 Bowery – as the group ransacked the store, hastily removing clothing items from the racks.

However, their audacious attempt to make a quick getaway was intercepted when a courageous 24-year-old female employee confronted them.

A physical altercation ensued, resulting in the employee being forcefully tossed to the ground. Fortunately, she did not sustain any serious injuries and did not require medical attention.

One of the perpetrators, a 16-year-old male, was apprehended by authorities at the scene and subsequently charged with robbery.

Five of the teenagers managed to flee the scene. They were last seen sprinting southbound on Bowery, carrying the stolen clothing. They remain at large, and the police are actively pursuing leads to bring them to justice.

Law enforcement officials have released images of the wanted teenagers, captured after the incident from 153 Bowery.

The incident serves as a distressing reminder of the persistent challenges faced by retailers and law enforcement in combating theft and maintaining public safety.

The implementation of “no bail” reforms has generated significant debate in recent years. Critics argue that the reforms, by eliminating cash bail for a wide range of offenses, including robbery, have inadvertently contributed to a revolving door of offenders on the streets.

Why Is the US Tipping Off Russia on the Ukrainian Spring Offensive?

Is Ukraine Babe Ruth, Billy Jack or Geraldo Rivera in Al Capone’s Vault?

We live in a bizarre time. Ukrainian and U.S. officials continue to issue public warnings/threats of a looming Ukrainian offensive intended to push Russia out of its recently acquired territories in the Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson. I cannot recall a single historical event when a military force was being steadily pushed back and decimated and the leaders and enablers of that army publicly announced what they were going to do.

If you have not read the latest contribution from Simplicius do yourself a favor and click on this link. It is not behind a paywall and is another superb piece. With respect to the impending Ukrainian offensive Simplicius takes note of Victoria Nuland’s deep dive into the crazy pond:

The final article, which brings us fully around to the Ukrainian offensive, represents a series of headlines driven by wicked witch of Maidan Victoria Nuland’s recent statements that “U.S. has been working with Ukraine on the counter-offensive for months”.

Not only does she make the aforementioned claim:

“Even as you plan for the counteroffensive, which we have been working on with you for some 4-5 months, we are already beginning our discussions with [the] Ukrainian government and with friends in Kiev – both on the civilian side and on the military side – about Ukraine’s long-term future,” Nuland told the Kiev Security Forum via video-link from the State Department.

But she let slip the following little tidbit:

She added that the attack will be “likely starting and moving concurrently” with events such as the NATO summit in Lithuania, scheduled for July 11.

Which confirms our previous theories on Ukraine’s large offensive possibly coinciding with the huge NATO airforce games—billed as ‘the largest in history—beginning in June, which dovetail into the NATO summit in July.

While I cannot recall any historical precedent for an army tipping its hand before launching an attack, there are a couple of iconic moments from popular culture. First up, Babe Ruth, who allegedly pointed to center field during the 1932 World Series with the Cubs and proceeded to blast a home run.

Maybe Ukraine thinks it is Billy Jack (a karate stud portrayed by Tom Laughlin in a popular film 50 years ago). When Billy takes off his boots and socks, watch out:

Alas, even the talented Billy Jack ended up taking a beating.

Maybe the Ukrainians are channeling a young Geraldo Rivera, who kept 30 million viewers spellbound for two hours as he promised to unveil the hidden treasures from Al Capone’s “secret” vault. When his crew finally punched through the concrete wall all they found was dirt and debris. All that build-up for nothing.

I apologize for ridiculing the long-promised Ukrainian offensive. Although the messaging from Zelensky and the likes of Nuland is pure buffoonery, the reality of what Ukraine may attempt is horrifying because of the number of Ukrainian soldiers who are being sent into a maelstrom of slaughter. Human sacrifice just to placate Western benefactors.

Pegging the Ukrainian offensive to the upcoming NATO exercise in June suggests the United States and NATO are hoping for a repeat of last year’s NATO exercise, which was used as cover to plant explosives on the Nordstream Pipeline. The Western leaders, both political and military, apparently never learned the popular refrain from World War II — “Loose lips sink ships.” “Loose lips” also lead to the massive destruction of Ukrainian forces, tanks, artillery and planes.

The madness displayed by Ukraine and the United States reminds me of this scene from Smiley’s People (a terrific BBC production). The head of British Intelligence asks George Smiley, “It isn’t some wicked Bolshi plot is it?”

Wicked Bolshi Plot?

Nope. It is sheer desperation. I find it hard to believe that Russia is lulled into a state of complacency or is consumed by premature celebration of certain victory. Russia’s continued onslaught of aerial bombs and missile strikes across Ukraine belies the claim that Russia is brimming with over confidence.

Western leaders do not grasp the fact that Ukraine, despite a numerical advantage, failed to take control of the Donbass during the eight year civil war that started in 2014. Russia did not deploy its troops, tanks and artillery to that conflict until it launched the Special Military Operation (SMO) in February 2022. If Ukraine could not dispatch the militias of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts during the last nine years, how are they expected to pull off a battlefield victory when the majority of Ukraine’s best soldiers have been killed and wounded during the course of Russia’s SMO?

Catholic Advocacy Group Launches $1 Million Campaign to Boycott LA Dodgers in Response to Honor Blasphemous Anti-Catholic Trans Nuns

In a powerful display of solidarity, one of the largest Catholic organizations CatholicVote has raised $1 million to launch a campaign to boycott the LA Dodgers.

The boycott campaign is a response to the recent controversy surrounding the team’s decision to re-invite the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to the Dodgers’ “LGBTQ+ Pride Night” on June 16.

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, also called Order of Perpetual Indulgence, is a group of queer and trans nuns known for their blasphemous acts mocking Catholicism.

CatholicVote President Brian Burch addressed the letter to Dodgers principal owner Mark Walter and CEO Stan Kasten, expressing deep concern over the team’s decision to honor the controversial trans group.

Recall, the Dodgers will give its “Community Hero Award” to the Los Angeles chapter of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence during its pride night at Dodgers Park next month.

“I represent the nation’s largest lay Catholic advocacy organization,” Burch wrote per Fox News. “We are supported by millions of devoted Catholics across America who believe that the time-honored values of life, family, and freedom — which the Dodgers used to celebrate — are demonstrably good for America, and worthy of respect, not ridicule.”

“We wrote to you last week with a reasonable ask: Please do not honor this anti-Catholic hate group,” Burch told the Dodgers’ administrators. “There is no place for anti-Catholic bigotry, mocking of religious sisters, or celebrating a perverse activist group whose identity is marked by blasphemy and mockery of Catholics.”

Below are some of the blasphemous acts by the group:

To amplify their message and encourage fellow Catholics to take a stand, CatholicVote revealed that they have allocated a significant $1 million budget for an upcoming advertising campaign. The organization aims to raise awareness of the Dodgers’ decision and mobilize Catholics to boycott the team in response.

On Thursday, Bishop Robert Barron released a video called the public to boycott the Dodgers.

Bishop Aaron expressed his disbelief at the treatment Catholics received compared to other faiths. He emphasized the double standard and questioned the reaction if similar acts targeted other religions, such as desecrating the Quran or mocking a rabbi.

Ukraine Claim of Attack on Russian Ship, the Ivan Khurs, Debunked

Let’s give the Ukrainian Government of Volodomyr Zelensky credit for one thing — they are world class liars. Yesterday I wrote about the attempted attack on the Russian ship, the Ivan Khurs, by three maritime drones and simply acknowledged that there was a video that claimed to show one of the drones hitting a ship. It was implied that the ship was the Ivan Khurs but there was no identifying information to corroborate the claim.

Today we know the truth. Ukraine lied. The Ivan Khurs pulled into port in the Black Sea on its own power with no visible damage.

This is a consistent pattern for Ukraine. Remember the Ghost of Kiev? That intrepid Ukrainian ace that allegedly shot down six Russian combat aircraft during the first month of the Special Military Operation? Turns out that was footage lifted from a video game and most of the Western media, not to mention several gullible politicians, gobbled up the lie and exulted over Ukraine’s faux victory.

Normally a person or institution regularly exposed as a prevaricator would be denounced and ignored. But not Ukraine. Zelensky and company insisted a year ago that Russia had not taken Mariupol despite conclusive video evidence of the remnants of Ukraine’s neo-Nazi AZOV battalion surrendering to the Russian Chechens as they limped out of the Azovstal steel plant.

Rinse and repeat with Bakhmut. Russia’s Wagner Group was busy hoisting victory flags over the fallen city while Ukrainian political and military leaders continued to insist that their boys were still in the fight. Nope, they were dead, captured or retreating. It was only today that a Ukrainian official, ex-Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, finally conceded that Bakhmut was kaput.

The lies and self-delusion are not restricted to Ukraine. In the United States a bi-partisan group of legislators called on Dementia Joe to send Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) to Ukraine:

Yesterday, members of the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, also known as the U.S. Helsinki Commission, Chairman Representative Joe Wilson (SC-02), Ranking Member Representative Steve Cohen (TN-09) and Commissioner Representative Victoria Spartz (IN-05) sent a letter to President Biden, requesting he grants the transfer of MGM-140 Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) to Ukraine.

In the letter, Commissioners thank the Administration for its beginning steps on getting F-16s to Ukrainian defenders and emphasize the importance of ATACMS on targeting Russian frontlines in occupied Ukraine as well as pushing back Russian supply chain systems which fuel their genocidal war. During the Commissioners’ recent trip to Ukraine and meeting with President Zelensky, ATACMS were requested for an immediate battlefield advantage. These powerful weapons could provide the advantage Ukraine needs to secure its freedom, and the only remaining hurdle to their delivery is the President’s approval.

This should put Russia and China on notice that it is not just Joe Biden and his inept National Security team that are intent on escalating the war in Ukraine. There also is a vocal, bipartisan group of legislators who are pressing to expand the war and are oblivious to the risk inherent in their proposal of Russian retaliation. The Washington Establishment is still willing to bet the lives of Ukrainians on their illusory vision that Russia is teetering towards defeat and their belief that Ukraine is just one Wunderwaffen miracle weapon from total victory.

I am sad to report to those of you who live outside of the Untied States that most Americans are clueless about the implications of the United States apparent strategy of escalation. Most assume that if Russia can bomb Ukrainian cities then fair play dictates that Ukraine should be able to do the same. The point they miss is that Ukraine is incapable of such attacks without the help of the United States and other NATO countries. Increasing Ukraine’s ability to strike further inside Russian territory will inevitably lead Russia to retaliate against those responsible for making those attacks possible. That means an inevitable clash with NATO. I believe that the United States should be doing everything in its power to avoid that. But it is doing the exact opposite and the potential for something terrible looms larger with each passing day.

Bud Light Sponsoring Several Pride Events — Despite Anheuser-Busch Market Value Dropping $15.7 Billion Over Dylan Mulvaney Fiasco

Bud Light is doubling down and sponsoring Pride parades across the nation.

The news of the sponsorships comes as Anheuser-Busch InBev’s market value has collapsed by a massive $15.7 billion since Bud Light’s partnership with transgender activist and influencer Dylan Mulvaney was announced.

According to a report from the Daily Wire, Bud Light is listed as a sponsor for Pride parades in Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio, as well as St. Louis, Missouri.

The report states that “in St. Louis, Missouri, where Anheuser-Busch is headquartered, the company is listed as the presenting sponsor of the St. Louis Pride Parade. A sponsorship packet explains that there are only four ‘presenting sponsor’ slots available. The ‘Rainbow’ sponsorship tier, located below the ‘presenting sponsor’ tier, requires entities to pay $25,000.”

“In Columbus, Bud Light is listed as a ‘Diamond Sponsor’ for the city’s upcoming pride parade,” the report adds. “According to a document from Stonewall Columbus — which ‘organizes and hosts’ the ‘annual’ event — companies are required to donate $20,000 to the organization in order to become ‘Diamond’ sponsors.”

Other Anheuser-Busch products, including Corona, sponsor other Pride events, including the Los Angeles Pride Parade.

Meanwhile, Anheuser-Busch’s market value has collapsed under a conservative boycott.

Investor’s Business Daily determined the shocking $15.7 billion figure using S&P Global Market Intelligence data.

“The market value of Anheuser-Busch InBev, whose fourth bestselling brand is Bud Light, dropped $15.7 billion since April 1, based on a conversion to U.S. dollars by Investor’s Business Daily using data from S&P Global Market Intelligence,” Investor’s Business Daily reports. “That’s the day Dylan Mulvaney, a TikTok influencer and transgender woman, pitched the Bud Light brand during the NCAA March Madness tournament.”

The report added, “Meanwhile, the other major publicly traded global beer brands have added $3.2 billion in market value during the same time.”

Mulvaney, an adult biological male, has become controversial over his “Days of Girlhood” series on TikTok and meeting with President Joe Biden on “Day 222 of being a girl” to advocate for allowing minors to transition.

The activist-influencer said then, “I’m ready to step up and show that trans people are not going anywhere and that trans kids deserve a fighting chance to be their true selves.”

After Bud Light provided Mulvaney with a commemorative can to celebrate one year of “girlhood,” conservatives immediately began a boycott — one which is shaping up to be one of the most influential political boycotts of all time.

Is the United States Poking the Bear or Is Ukraine Going Rogue or Is it Both?

Yesterday three Western supplied drone boats attacked a Russian ship guarding the Turkstream pipeline. Russia claims all were destroyed but there is video that suggests one hit the Russian ship. This attack is the latest in a series of events over the last three weeks where Ukraine is hitting targets in Russia with U.S. and British supplied weapons. In addition to this maritime drone attack Ukraine has carried out the following:

  • Cross border incursion in the Belgorod region with U.S. supplied vehicles and weapons. The attack was repulsed with heavy losses on the Ukrainian side.
  • Sporadically launching artillery and himars attacks on Russian civilians towns along the border
  • Two drones attacked the Kremlin.
  • British Storm Shadow cruise missiles have hit targets in Russia

None of these attacks are “game changers” but they are fueling a rising tide of anger in Russia. The maritime attack on the Russian ship guarding the Turkstream pipeline is especially puzzling because it is indirectly an attack on a member of NATO (i.e., Turkiye). The media is discounting the possibility that was sanctioned by the U.S. or the U.K. and suggesting it was carried out by Ukraine without consulting its NATO partners.

However, my new friend, Steve Bryen, has an excellent piece posted at the Asia Times on the Turkstream pipeline incident that explains why this was not a unilateral Ukrainian operation:

There are a number of disturbing facts about this operation.

The first is that the Ukrainians were preparing to attack the Turkstream pipeline and needed to knock out the Russian ship helping to guard it. Turkstream moves natural gas at an annual capacity of 31.5 billion cubic meters and consists of two 930-kilometer offshore lines and two separate onshore lines that are 142 kilometers (88.2 miles) and 70 kilometers long.

One of the customers for Russian gas from this pipeline is Hungary. It would deal a substantial blow to Hungary if Turkstream were destroyed, and that could lead to a government upheaval in that country. Hungary, under Viktor Orbán, is regarded by Washington as pro-Russian. . . .

The Ukrainians carried out this operation in the Bosporus, around 80 miles from the Turkish mainland. It is reasonable to say that this attack wasn’t just on the Russians, but it was the first part of an attack on a NATO ally, Turkey and other gas consumers, especially Hungary – also a NATO ally.

The long distance from Ukraine proper suggests that Ukraine would have needed real-time intelligence to locate the Russian ship and target it.

Here comes the disturbing part. Reportedly there was a US RQ-4 remotely piloted surveillance aircraft in the vicinity of this incident. The RQ-4 could have provided real-time targeting information and also could have relayed the same information to the Ukrainian unmanned naval drone. While there is no hard evidence that the RQ-4 played any role, how else could Ukraine have managed this operation?

While the United States and the rest of NATO are feigning ignorance about the attack, the key fact is that Ukraine needed targeting data that only NATO intelligence sources could provide. This means that the United States played a direct role in this attack. When you add this incident to the cross-border incursion in the Belgorod region where U.S.-supplied vehicles carried out the attack, Russia can only conclude that the United States in becoming more involved in the war against Russia.

This marks a dangerous escalation in the war and Russia is unlikely to shrug it off as insignificant. Besides the maritime drone attack, two U.S. B-1 bombers in the Baltic flew close to Russian air space and were intercepted by Russian fighter planes. Add to this the recent Biden reversal giving the green light to send F-16 fighter aircraft to Ukraine and the deployment in late 2022 of elements of the 101s and 82nd airborne units in Poland and Romania respectively. Those troops are still there.

Russia also is carefully watching the upcoming NATO exercise, Air Defender 23:

Air Defender 23 will be the most significant military exercise ever carried out over the European skies. The event will take place from June 12th until June 23rd, involving the air forces of 25 nations.

More specifically, Air Defender 23 will represent the most extensive deployment exercise of air forces in the history of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, commonly known as NATO. The unprecedented event will involve up to 10,000 exercise participants who will train their flying skills with approximately 220 aircraft. The military exercise will take place in European airspace and under the command of the German Air Force, or Luftwaffe.

While NATO can pretend that this is just a routine exercise, a “training” operation of this size and scale against the backdrop of heightened tensions in the region is akin to lighting a match in a gasoline storage tank. It increases the possibility of the war in Ukraine expanding to a full blown conflict with NATO.

It appears that the United States is prepared to take more desperate, ill-advised actions in the wake of the Ukrainian defeat at Bakhmut. There are no gestures of conciliation emanating from Washington. Just the opposite — more bellicose rhetoric and actions.

Russia, for its part, is not sitting on its hands. In the early hours of Friday, Ukrainian TG-channels reported on Geraniums UAV  and aerial bomber attacks in Sumy, Chernigov and Zapozhye regions, as well as in Dnepropetrovsk region. Explosions also are reported in Kupyanskiy district of Kharkov region tonight. Yesterday, Russia hit he dam at the Karlovskoye reservoir, which is 40 km north-west of Donetsk and is a critical supply route for Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donetsk region. This makes it more difficult for Ukraine to supply its forces on the East side of the Volcha river and creates more obstacles Ukraine must surmount if it hopes to launch a successful counter-offensive.

It appears that Russia’s three week long bombing campaign — using strategic bombers — is taking a toll on the forces Ukraine has been assembling for their long awaited counter offensive. Ukrainian losses are making it difficult to assemble the the man power and fire power required to launch and sustain an offensive operation beyond a few days. We will know for certain within the coming weeks.

I will put it simply — we are living in the most dangerous time in World history since the start of World War II. The United States is showing no sign of backing down from its effort to keep the war going in Ukraine in the futile hope of weakening Russia. And Russia is intensifying its operations to decimate Ukraine’s military capabilities. This appears to be a toxic recipe for a horrendous collision. I hope I am wrong.
